encoder under simCNC with IP/M

Hello, I would like to convert a conventional lathe to CNC. Can I query a turning encoder under simCNC with IP/M to cut threads? Which inputs do I assign the encoder to?

Hi,
The CSMIO/IP-M controller does not support encoders.
You need the CSMIO/IP-S controller and the CSMIO-ENC module
As for the simCNC software, it does not have full lathe support. We are still working on it.
Only fairly experienced people could use it for a lathe and with a few compromises.
You can use Mach3 for now.
