IP-M firmware update to use simCNC

Hello,

i have a problem with updating the firmware of my IP-M.

The following happened:

A time ago I downgraded the firmware to v2.910 to use IP-M with Mach3.

Now i want to use simCNC. To purchase a license i used to get the MAC-Address from the controller, but with the old FW it only shows the SN. Then I updated the FW with the "CSMIO/IP Uploader v3.6" (i think that was the problem), the update finished successfully. But from now on the IP-M is not being discovered by simCNC or the FW uploader.

Then I noted that with simCNC there was a newer version of the FW uploader. But even with this, the IP-M can not be discovered!

The "STAT" and "ETH" LEDs are both flashing. That should be good, I think.

What can I do? I hope that it can be fixed.

Hello!

Try to downgrade again with the v2.910 Firmware installer. That worked for me in the past while something similar like your case happend to me.

After this the controller could be discovered again.

Thanks for reply, but also the old Firmware installer can't find the controller.

Any other suggestions?

Start with a ping test.

If the test is successful, it means that the controller is working and responding.

I managed to solve the problem.

It was due the Windows Network settings. The subnetmask was set to "255.0.0.0" setting it to "255.255.255.0" solved it.

Strange is that it worked before the firmwareupdate.
