IP-M with MACH3 Lathe
Hello G-day, I wanted to know if someone has experience with this interface, I'm using a inductive sensor to get the spindle RPM's, it's set in the index configuration in mach 3, I've tried 1 pulse and 4 pulses per spin, but I cant manage to make it show the rpm's in the screen, at first it shows for a few seconds and then it goes blank, I dont know what else to try!
Unfortunately, the CSMIO/IP-M does not support spindle RPM measurement. This feature is available only on the IP-S and IP-A models.
With the older firmware (v2.x) used with Mach3, spindle speed can be measured using either the INDEX signal or a spindle encoder. However, with the newer firmware (v3.x) used with simCNC and Mach4, only a spindle encoder is supported for RPM measurement.
