Issue with home switch not working correctly.

Hi All

Spent the last 5 hours trying to get the homing to work with simCnc and getting no where.

If I press the "Ref Axis" on the top tool bar the motor turns in a negative direction until it hits the Home switch then cuts power to the drive instead of backing off the switch.

I have attached images of the settings I have and the error message. I have checked my setting against the manual which seem right but obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Using CSMIO/IP-M with lexium 28a drives and BCH2 Servo motors, simCnc

Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of reference switches are you using? It seems to me as if it's hitting the limit switch and therefore interrupting the power supply.

Hi Thanks for your reply.

They are standard NO/NC switches

Wired as NC

So 24v to one side of the switch the other side to pin 8 (input 7). Pin 21 taken to ground.

If I understand the instructions correctly, the home offset should be negative when the homing direction is set to negative. In your case, the direction is negative, but the home offset is positive.

You should definitely read the manual.
That was already your problem with your question about Mach3/plugin. 😉

Thanks for the reply.

I'm sure I've tried this but will give it a go.

No this doesn't work. Still get the error "homing can't be executed" "Error: Action Stopped" when the motor hits the homing switch.

I've attached another photo of the current setting but have tried every possible combination 😥

Solved:

I had enable  and homing assigned to the same pin.

Works now but wish me luck trying to sort the Index homing.
