Mach4 problems

^{hi, I have just installed mach4 and the firmware for the CSMIO. I have the CSMIO in the mach4 plugin turned on. I have set the keyboard control on. Restart mach3 and it says it can’t find CSMIO.}

I have read all the manuals but most are for mach3 and the videos for mach4 are not working. I have set the ip address has per the manual.
I have read that this problem can happen if the firmware and mach3 are incompatible. Can someone please let me know what versions of firmware and mach4 I need and their location. Or if there is something else I need to check or do. Thanks

Hi,

Did you select the motion device in Mach4 (Menu Configure/Select motion device)?

Do you see the "Motion Controller Selection" window when Mach4 is started?

If you're using a direct connection, IP address assignment of the controller can take a while after PC restart, because it first tries to configure from the DHCP server. Try ping 10.1.1.2 to test if the network connection is ok. If ping is not responding, check your Windows network settings (IP: 10.1.1.1 and netmask: 255.255.255.0) and try disabling the Windows firewall - it sometimes blocks communication.
