SimCNC data logging?

Hey there,
are there any examples for simCNC data logging?
I'm specifically looking for any transitions of any of the input signals on the IP-M, as well as arc voltage readings every few hundred MS.
Seems the only way to do this is with a python script. wondering if this would be easily doable by capturing the network traffic itself?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
