Simcnc Lathe

I have a nice weiler cnc lathe with csmio-ip hardware and am currently running mach3. I find mach3 to buggy and have not been using my machine for over two years for that reason. Two years ago support said that simcnc lathe was probably going to be available jan 2023. That moved to dec 2023. I just wonder if I am the only one who would really like to get rid of mach3 and use simcnc instead. And if anyone knows more about this, then please share it with me 😊. Thanks!

At the moment simCNC still has limited lathe support. Only very advanced users with a lot of time can handle it. We are working on introducing full support.

I am aware. I purchased and installed the cslab csmio controllers and retrofitted my lathe completely with your products in 2021 because I was told lathe support would be available from summer 2022. That moved to winter 2022. Now it is nearly the end of 2024 without change for me. That is quite a wait after making such an investment. I hope lathe support comes soon because the machine is eating dust waiting for the software and I would love to use it! It’s running on mach3 at the moment and that is so buggy I don’t feel I can safely use my machine. When is it going to be available?
