Error message: "HwLimit signal is on"

Hello,
what does the following error message mean when starting the program:
Warning Action „start trajectory“ can’t be executed. Error: HwLimit signal is on ?
All axes have been referenced and can be moved in jog mode. No axis is in its end position and all limit switches are free.
Thank you for your help

an axis switch limit error is more like that.

it tell you which switch is on (on picture   -Y )

in my case this window appears:

I've  found how to make the same error ,

1- I enable "ignore soft limits"
2- I move/jog in a limit switch . here I have the same error as my previous image (--y limit).
3- then try to start the program and I have the same error as you

Question;
1-Is your "ignore soft limits" (top left on my picture) is enable? (red dot in my case)
2-Is this your first program launch? or have you already cut something in simcnc?

1-"ignore soft limits" is disabled. The soft limits in the configuration is also disabled (please see my picture below)
2-I had already cut another part. But in the meantime I have carried out an update. It was the first attempt since this update. Maybe some setting value has changed

It seems to me that you have an old version of simCNC, which had modest (incomplete) messages.

Go to the "Diagnostic" window above the visualization window and check which limit switch is active.

If I'm wrong, record a video showing what you do from the moment you turn on simCNC until the problem occurs.

I'm not sure if the red lights on the limit switches were off. Since I'm on vacation now, I won't be able to test again for about 2 weeks. Afterwards I will also record the video and get back to you.
Until then, thank you very much for your efforts!
